Hi . . . I'm Lori . . . aka: ^v^Ladyhawk^v^.  I'm 50 to date (9/06), devoted to my soul mate Michael, loving mother of 2 (Nico -17 & Stefani-29), MiMi to 2 beautiful granddaughters: Haylee (9 yr) and Ryann (nearly 4 yrs)!  I'm a licensed Cosmetologist for  32 yrs.  I have lived in the metropolitan area of Phoenix since 1971.  I am originally a California Girl.

I am an avid movie enthusiast,  a relatively novice webmaster, PaintShopPro (7, 8, 9 & X  but prefer 7) addict,  reader, spiritual, Incredimail Addict/User/Creator,  IncrediBar Skins Addict/User/Creator, Y & R and B & B soap opera lover, Sopranos , CSI (original), American Idol, HOUSE, The OC and Nip/Tuck, as well.  I love sports,  a wide range of music, crafts, family, traveling, dancing, and anything to do with my computer!   I'm a hopeless romantic, a dreamer and often referred to as a perpetual optimist.  I take my role as a parent very seriously and am eternally grateful and blessed with  my loving family.     

I am forging forward, facing the challenges of my life.  It is with deep desire and gut-wrenching faith that I have made changes in my life that have taken me *out of my box* in so many ways.  I am riding on the blind faith of my optimistic nature, that I will catch the proverbial upwind to soar to a higher quality of life.  I'm counting on it!

Nico

I have a 17 year old son in 11th grade.  When he's not being "Mr. Personality,"  he loves soccer,  rocking with his newly formed band "TAINTED WINTER", golf, the movies and is a computer buff too.  He has a 'special' girl....Jessica.  They are adorable together. They celebrated their 1 year anniversary last Nov. 4th!  Wow!

On Sunday 1/19/03, at the age of 13 yrs. old  he made his first hole in 1. A short 111 yard hole, his pitching wedge and a great swing.  Needless to say he has the ball saved as a trophy. 

 He is fun-spirited, loving, a wonderful helper and great source of support.  He is much of what keeps me grounded.    He makes extra money reffing (AR) soccer games. He will tryout for the High School team in the Nov.  Everyday he shows me how he has matured and is more focused on his becoming successful in his future.  We are so very proud of him and his progress.

 I also have a beautiful, 29 y/o daughter. She has had a lot of challenges in the last year or two.  She has overcome adversity and moved to a new level in her own right, as well.  She is working full time and continuing her education with accelerated college courses consecutively.  She is working to make the most of herself and her future to provide the most for herself and her two priceless daughters.   Haylee is a 4rd grader.  She is bright, beautiful and such a great helper, as well.  I think she is 9 going on 15.....Ryann is going to be 4 in January.  She is so independent and active and a beautiful little girl with a great personality.  They are the lights in our lives.

Our newest addition is a Sugar glider!  We welcomed him October 15th.  After getting to know him and bouncing around with several names we settled on *SARGE*  after his drill SARGE-nt personality it seems to fit.  Though he has settled in nicely..now.his personality has warmed up to us and he is absolutely precious!  We got Sarge a little buddy....Stewie....now talk about ATTITUDE!  This guy is sassy....but adorable, too.

I also have a 12 yr. old Yorkie/Shih-Tzu *puppy* who is the bestest PUPPY in the world and a 30 gallon freshwater tank with many scaly and slimy friends, too. We recently had to put our Daughter-Cat "Sweetie" down....4-11-05, she was withering away and became incontinent. Her quality of life was 'nil'.  We struggled long and hard on making the decision...and one day we KNEW it was time!  I know she has been happy, healthy and frolicking with new and old friends since crossing the RAINBOW BRIDGE!. For that, we are at peace!
